YOUTIO / TECHNOLOGY GLOSSARY
What is boost clock?
Boost clock is a maximum operating frequency that a processor can reach under suitable conditions.
A conditional maximum
The stated maximum does not mean every core runs at that frequency continuously. Temperature, power limits and workload affect the result.
Compare architectures carefully
The same GHz value does not guarantee the same performance across different processor architectures.
