YOUTIO / TECHNOLOGY GLOSSARY
What is frame generation?
Frame generation creates additional displayed frames between rendered frames.
A separate measurement
It is different from increasing the base rendering rate. Visual smoothness, latency and artifacts should all be considered.
Reporting a benchmark
A test should explicitly state whether frame generation is enabled and separate the base rate from the rate including generated frames.
