What is frame time?
Frame time describes the time associated with rendering or presenting an individual frame.
Converting FPS to milliseconds
At a constant frame rate, 1000 divided by FPS gives the frame interval in milliseconds. 60 FPS is about 16.67 ms; 120 FPS is about 8.33 ms.
Why consistency matters
Long frame-time spikes can feel like stutter even when average FPS appears acceptable. Inspect the frame-time graph as well as the average.
